• Step 1

Start with dry, detangled and thoroughly combed hair. Make sure there are no knots. Section into two and follow steps below.

Tip: Get your hair a tiny bit damp and add a light hair oil for better results.

  • Step 2

Begin with one side. Gently tie a low ponytail using one of the scrunchies.

  • Step 3

Wrap the ribbon snugly starting from the scrunchie and wind all the way down to the end of hair. Make sure to keep gentle but consistent tension. Wrap them evenly along the entire length of the Kardoune.

Tip: overlap some of the ribbon with each other to ensure it does not go loose. Double wrapping can also be done if your ribbon is on the longer side.

  • Step 4

Once you have wrapped the ribbon all the way down, secure the ends by tying it in place with the other scrunchie. Make sure the knot is snug and tight.

  • Step 5

Repeat steps for other side. This is how your hair should look once wrapped. Leave the ribbon in place for a few hours, or even overnight, to obtain the best results. The longer you leave it on, the smoother your hair will be.

Note: If desired, you may also only do one ponytail rather than two. This will work best for fine, thin hair or when using only as a protective style at night.

  • Step 6

Unwind the ribbon to reveal smoother, softer, frizz-free hair.
